Re: Salix Xfce 14.0
Will there be a Mate version of this?
Alternatively, I guess I can install a "core" install and do the rest from there?

Re: Triggering udev events - takes a long time
Well, I kinda figured this out myself.
Reconfigured the kernel specifically for my hardware and the problem went away.
Anyway, love the distro.

Triggering udev events - takes a long time
Hi,
When booting up, it takes about 2minutes to "trigger udev events", but eventuelly boots up just fine after that.
Hardware:
Asus EEE 1015PEM
Salix 14.0 XFCE 64bit

The tools are in the initrd, it's just the format options aren't listed in the installer. Exit the installation, create your btrfs filesystem then run 'setup' again. I still have a few minor fixes ('cancel' not cancelling mostly) to do on the installer as well as adding pxesetup (if I ever get arou...

Re: Boot Splash
I don't think a distro like Salix should have a bootsplash, it should stay as vanilla as possible, like Slackware is.
Those that want a bootsplash, should investigate themselves and make their own.
