Would it be rude to ask if you guys have a clue when it will be ready ?

Im getting a new laptop tomorrow, and Im planning as to what Im going to install on it after I toss out the garbage windows 8....

Will there be a Mate version of this?

Alternatively, I guess I can install a "core" install and do the rest from there?

Well, I kinda figured this out myself.

Reconfigured the kernel specifically for my hardware and the problem went away.

Anyway, love the distro.

When booting up, it takes about 2minutes to "trigger udev events", but eventuelly boots up just fine after that.

The tools are in the initrd, it's just the format options aren't listed in the installer. Exit the installation, create your btrfs filesystem then run 'setup' again. I don't think a distro like Salix should have a bootsplash, it should stay as vanilla as possible, like Slackware is.

Those that want a bootsplash, should investigate themselves and make their own.
