Could Lightspark be the answer to x86_64 flash?

I am using mainly Fedora13 (but also still Slackware/Salix ) and did yesterday some tests with it. Lightspark seems not or only rarely to work in Firefox 3.6.4 and Midori 0.2.6. Dunno about Chrome (new feature of lightspark 0.4.2).

Due to Flashblock addon: You do not need it if you have AdBlock, it also blocks flash content.

Gnash 0.8.8 has been released today. The new version is up in the 13.1 repositories. It seems to work a lot better at least with youtube now, there's no need messing with cookies anymore. Other sites that weren't working at all before seem to be working ok now.

But I'm using 32-bit and I'm not using flash at all with YouTube, I'm using this User.JS script YouTube Video Download (by rossy), I'm right-clicking on the high quality version on the pop-up list paste it to Parole, Whaaw!, or VLC and play it without high load of CPU.

You'll need to:
Install Firefox.
Install Greasemonkey :: Add-ons for Firefox (click on "Add to Firefox").
Restart Firefox.
Install YouTube Video Download (click on "Install").

Now go to a YouTube page.
Click on the download button.
Pick the wanted quality by right-click and copy.
Open your video player.
Open URL.
Paste the copied address.

For what it's worth, midori and epiphany work great with youtube and html5.

1) I've never thought of trying that on YouTube, and I'm using the html5 video tag feature with archive.org TrustedComputing.
2) What about High Definition, 720p MP4 H.264/AAC is this quality available in YouTube for html5 formats (ogg) too?

I was going to compile lightspark but since there are far simpler options available I can't be bothered now (greasemonkey rules)

I'm really warming to Midori since trying the LXDE edition but I still get the same error on youtube.

You need to enable html5 in http://youtube.com/html5
Some videos are still available only in flash though, but there are only a few of them now.
