Akuna,
A VERY POSITIVE REPORT:
Booted a vanilla LXDE from Optical Drive
spkg 49 Packages (431.2 MB)
RAN the "MODIFIED" LiveClone
23 min later, the ISO was created.
Dropped it into /base on my pen drive containing the Frugal Install
Rebooted Nicely
EVERYTHING IS WORKING.
!!! GREAT !!!
Nice work ...

Re: missing opt in liveclone
Akuna, Thanks for your consideration. I have posted another anomaly I found just now.
sqlpython, Thanks for reminding me about Adobe Reader, I have added this to my list of packages. For me also it wound up in /opt alongside libreoffice. Yes I also looked at the KDE version myself. SalixLive is ...

missing opt in liveclone
I installed a bunch ( one .tgx + forty-seven .txz ) of packages using spkg. All seemed to be working. I was using salixlive via a frugal install.
These included libreoffice RC2 tgz.
I then used liveclone to create an iso with grub selected. This seemed successful. I copied the new base ( which ...

Missing make_iso.sh
Is there a reason for not including the make_iso.sh script in the latest Salixlive ?
It was present in previous versions and is I believe important.
Thanks for an excellent slackware live distro,
kudos

Re: Salix Start up Guide 13.1.2 - 13.2
Please let me congratulate you on your Salix StartUpGuide. I always felt that the 13.0 StartUpGuide was very good and now 23.1.2 draft 2.1 is even better.
The Section 5.3 "Personalising a Module" is very much needed, concise and to the point.
