This problem seems to have fixed itself... Not really sure how, but I'm not going to question it. I just went to SlackBuilds.org and ran these commands:
mkdir /home/neruson/builds
cd /home/neuson/builds
wget http://slackbuilds.org/slackbuilds/13.37/audio/gtkpod.tar.gz
tar -zxf gtkpod.tar.gz
ls
rm ...

Re: easyMP3Gain
I second this request too. I know how to use mp3gain via the terminal but the GUI is rather nice. Since you have mp3gain, aacgain and vorbis gain and the free pascal compiler already in the salix repos I imagine it would be pretty easy to have the GUI in the official salix repos as well (i think all ...

GtkPod libid3tag-0.15 problem [solved]
I originally posted this in the 'problems' section but it has come to my attention from the irc channel that I'm not the only one who's having this problem, so that usually means it's a bug! Ok, I tried to install gtkpod from sourcery and got the following error:

Re: Easytag dependency issue in salix repositories...
Wow, that was fast. It's working now. Thanks again. I have about 8gbs of MP3's I backed up on my ipod and when I put them back on my HD all my id3 tags were somehow erased. Not sure how it happened. It isn't a Salix issue. It happened when I was running Ubuntu, but yeah, a mass id3 tagging program ...

Re: Hello, I'm new ;)
I am having fun :) I like computers - never took one class in them other than typing class in high school, but I've always been a fast learner when concerning them... When I was in high school I learned basic HTML just by viewing the source on a website and staring at the code until it made sense ...

Re: kompozer error during make install
Hmm. I think editing source code is a bit much for me right now ;) I know KompoZer is out of date, but it worked for what I was doing... Are there any other similar WYSIWYG editors out there that are up to date? I noticed kwebdev (which I think is Quanta Plus right? I'm pretty ignorant when it comes ...

Re: Easytag dependency issue in salix repositories...
Sorry about that... I installed Salix 13.1.2 XFCE 64 bit if that helps. I haven't added or deleted any repos. Whatever isn't in gslapt by default I just compile...

Re: kompozer error during make install
Nevermind... I think I figured out the problem... It's a 32 bit program and I'm running 64 bit... I don't think I could be able to get this to work in the first place without installing 32 bit libraries... Which I don't really want to do... I guess I don't need it, I know how to make webpages ...

Hello, I'm new ;)
Hi, my name is Sean. I'm from Portland, Or. I'm 29 years old and have been using Ubuntu/Linux Mint for the last 3 years. Both those distros are fine distros, but after 3 years of using them I wanted to learn more about Linux, so I started looking into distros like Arch Linux, I decided the ...
