could you possibly do 3 things,,,
1, why not install midori by default instead of firefox ,,,,
2. divx browser playback?

Lastly, could you default the font rendering better quality by default ..... please

hi there cjtron
if you want to check if the drivers are installed you have to run the following command at a terminal fglrxinfo
if it say ATI Technologies or something like that in the vendor string, then the drivers are installed and ready to go

Just to be sure the driver is going to work check the /etc/fstab file to see if this line is present, if it's not add it
tmpfs /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 ...
# installpkg fglrx-module-XXXXX_kernel_XXXX.tgz #the kernel module
# installpkg fglrx-xXXXXX.tgz #the driver itself
