Re: OpenTTD 1.1.1
Another option is removing OpenTTD from the repository. The generic binary version from openttd.org works without any problems, so Salix users don't need to build it from source.

OpenTTD 1.1.1
OpenTTD 1.1.0 is in the repository, but most of the OpenTTD servers use the latest version (1.1.1) and don't allow playing with older version. 1.1.1 isn't a security update, just bug fix release, but can you update it? I think it would be great to update it in the repo as rolling release style, beca...

Re: What filesystem do you use in Linux?
Ext4 without resize_inode, ext_attr and huge_file feature and with 0 reserved block for root:
Because I don't want to resize, don't use ACLs and haven't got file with 2 TB size or bigger. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)
Code: Select all
mke2fs -t ext4 -O large_file,^resize_inode,^ext_attr,^huge_file -m 0

Re: opera -11_10
Thanks, ruario for the package update. Will you update Opera in Salix when 11.50 (major release) will be released or just security versions (minor release)? The first one would be better I think, because if I know correctly, Opera doesn't maintain older versions.

Re: opera -11_10
I think that would be the best solution for us, if you maintain the package.ruario wrote:If you want I can maintain the SLKBUILD I suppose. Assuming, you are happy with the way I write my SLKBUILDs and the current maintainer is willing to let me take over.

Re: opera -11_10
It needs rpm to build the package. :( So, where's the problem? There is tar.xz at Opera's official site, which is much better for packaging. Ask ruario. ;) Or ask thenktor, who made SLKBUILD. Next time I have to install dpkg, rpm, pacman, etc. package manager, because a maintainer choose the most c...

Re: opera -11_10
I fully accept removing Opera from Salix binary repo, because of the one program per task philosophy. Thank you, thenktor for writing to the maintainer, I hope the source package will be fixed sooner. I agree with you, that the best solution would be the integration of slapt-src into the salix-updat...

Re: opera -11_10
slapt-src -u slapt-src -i opera It needs rpm to build the package. :( /usr/src/opera-11.10/SLKBUILD uses tar.xz from opera site, but slapt-src's newer opera package uses rpm. It would be simplier if the packager use tar.xz as "source" (as he did with 11.10) and not rpm. Can you fix this? ...

Re: opera -11_10
Thenktor, please update Opera to 11.11 in the Salix repo. This version fixes a security issue.
