I've never been able to get broadcom to work in slackware. However, I've had it working in Pardus and Ubuntu flavors. You might try searching on Ubuntu forum for tips.

I solved my problem by using a usb wireless adapter.

I have a HP notebook that has a Ricoh usb web cam. Model R5U870. Pardus and Ubuntu flavors see it and it works. Have done searches of slackware package sites but found nothing.

Has anyone installed or made R5U870 work? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I guess I've been using KDE for too long but I cannot find how to change the text in Desktop menu or color. Could someone point me to a resource?

good news!: I solved the problem with the mouse by going into xorg.conf and 'input device section' and uncommenting 'Option Protocol Auto'. It fixed my problem.
