No - if you look at /usr/share/kbd/keymaps/i386/qwerty you'll find plenty of Polish keymaps. But take a look at /etc/X11/xkb/symbols - there's only one "pl" file (set by XkbLayout option) with couple of variants (set by XkbVariant) in it.
