1. I personally have 32bit.
2. I have spent a fair amount of time looking into it, I saw that it uses gnome. I have used it on a couple of other distros that use xfce, as to how its done I have no idea... sorry.

I didn't realise that.
It was the first time I had installed it. I just assumed the zen prefix it was something that had been modded at Zenwalk and not changed back. Wasn't really the main idea of my post, just an after thought. perhaps ps. would have been better than FYI...

You're really on to it.
About 10mins after making the changes the update advisor informed me of updates.
It wanted to update to the latest version.
Was just playing around trying to work out how to disable the updates and wondering whether to make another post about disabling updates!

I decided to work my way through them from the newest to the oldest.
No suprises, it was the last one I tried... :roll:

I tried that, unfortunately it didn't fix the problem.
Out of interest, what settings did you find worked? I tried a random selection but will give the one that worked for you a shot.

Ghost Images
I am having problems with "ghost images".
When I login the battery and wifi icons are just a series of lines.
When I double click on a desktop icon it will open the relevant window but the icon disappears and is replaced with 5 or so ghost images.
