Thanks for the quick answer gapan. I guess I'm stuck with lxde. I use this box mostly for web browsing (using firefox of course) even though it's a full desktop install. Salix is absolutely fantastic. Thanks gapan and the rest of the devs for this amazing distro.

I have an old pentium iv (2ghz cpu, 512mb ram, onboard graphics sis 661gx) that runs salix 13.37. I'm using the lxde variant but I want to run xfce instead. What's keeping me is the subtle difference in the way xorg (I suspect) is set up in both. When using lxde , firefox scrolling (using up/down ...
