Yes, FreeBSD does not support all of the hardware that Linux supports. However, it should run on a majority of older systems with little or no problems. If you have new(er) hardware, a little research goes a long way. It might also save you a bad ...

Salix KDE. Background made by myself. Helium plasma theme. Modified Helium window decorations. EverFresh color scheme. Hacked up gtk-oxygen theme (to make it match everything else). Lots of green!

Although this package is quite simple to build and install yourself from SlackBuild, it would be nice if it were an installation option. I have been using it for quite sometime on Slackware and I have never had problems with it. More importantly, it integrates much better with KDE (obviously).
