Thank you for your valuable comment.
However I am also interested in the opinion of the developers.

What if Slackware dies?
Dear Salix Guys, I would like to ask you about future of Salix. Do you have plans for the situation if Slackware stops releasing new versions? Or release cycle would be more longer than last time? Since it would be a huge shame to let Salix die. It is too awesome to let it down. Therefore I dare to ...

Re: GNU Privacy Assistant
It seems it was a false alert, sorry. I cannot reproduce error. Just installed the same 0.7.5 version from source on a zenwalk box. No problem. Tried it twice. Then went back to Salix and dropped .gnupg directory, ran a new test. Succes. Again, and again. It was a one time strange situation. ...

[SOLVED] GNU Privacy Assistant
Dear Salixers,
I've found a possible bug in GPA. At first start it creates directory .gnupg with ownership of root.
Then it is unable to save newly generated key, because of permissions.
Workaround: before use, create directory .gnupg by hand. Then GPA will work.
Regards, zolix
