Re: Engrampa does not descend into ISOs
http://slackware.org.uk/salix/i486/14.0/salix/ap/p7zip-9.20.1-i486-1gv.dep reads "cxxlibs|gcc-g++,gcc", so there is very little in the way of dependencies for the package. Actually I downloaded the .txz and installpkg'ed it, so no dependency handling at all. Look at /var/log/packages/p7zi...

Engrampa does not descend into ISOs
Salix Xfce 14.0 fresh install, updates applied. Mate/engrampa as included does not descend into ISOs: it shows "/" in the location bar, but no directories/files. There is nothing in /var/log/messages, and when running engrampa from an xterm there are no errors. I know from other distributi...

Re: Viewnior does not recognize .svgz file format
The blueprint is at https://blueprints.launchpad.net/viewnior - scroll down to "svgz". Up to and including KDE 3.5.10 I built things myself. With subsequent Slackware Current "releases" all I had to do was copy a few "old" libraries. But slowly 3.5.10 started to show it...

Re: Viewnior does not recognize .svgz file format
I created a viewnior "blueprint" to support svgz images.
I have no specific usecase other than that I stumbled upon the problem when looking with viewnior at some KDE/Trinity wallpapers.
The list of the open blueprints is long indeed ...

Re: Viewnior does not recognize .svgz file format
To be honest I did not check upstream as googling gave me the impression that the problem is salix-specific and maybe not related to viewnior even. I just checked https://bugs.launchpad.net/viewnior : .svgz is not mentioned. I know that in Slackware Current with Trinity 3.5.13.1: -- Konqueror can di...

Viewnior does not recognize .svgz file format
Salix 14.0 -- fixes up to date. When running viewnior for a .svgz file no image is displayed and instead a "Couldn't recognize the image file format for '/home/burdi01/Desktop/aurora.svgz'" message is given. After gunzipping that .svgz to a .svg viewnior can display that .svg without any p...

Re: Salix 14.0 - Thunar 1.4.0 - file truncations, no refresh
I amended /etc/gamin/gaminrc as indicated. The preliminary test results seem to indicate that the problem is resolved. Kernel polling is possible since linux 2.6.38 and udev 173. Do you have any idea why we still ship gamin with such a ridiculous poll once every 15 seconds policy? Kind regards, Dick...

Salix 14.0 - Thunar 1.4.0 - file truncations, no refresh
I freshly installed Salix 14.0 32 bit with Xfce 4.10 and Thunar 1.4.0. When doing a copy & paste or drag & drop of a file between file systems the "target" windows shows a smaller filesize than the "source" window. Refreshing the "target" window (F5 or Ctrl+R) d...

Salix current
For years I have been tracking Slackware current with KDE/Trinity 3. As Trinity 3.5.13 is showing some bitrot *) and I like Xfce I installed Salix 14.0 and changed the "14.0" in the slapt-get sources to "current" (as 14.0 and current are (almost) identical this can be done easily...
