Every time I start the computer, at boot time, a warning saying "e2fsck: get a new version of e2fsck".
In my system the package e2fsprogs 1.46.5 is installed. A fast search shows that there is a new one: 1.47.4.
Could we get this newest?

Re: LibreOffice issue
The problem was into the .config files. I've deleted/renamed all the ~/.config/libreoffice and ~/skel/.config/libreoffice files, reinstalled libreoffice-25.8.3-x86_64-1alien.txz and all is apparently running well.
Thanks djemos and Gapan for your support.

LibreOffice issue
I've had some issues with Libreoffice. I was using the djemos' last version (7.6.2). I thought that the problems should be because it was an old version: a quick search showed me that the current one is 25.8.4. On Libreoffice's website there are packages .deb and .rpm. I've tried to convert these to ...

Clawsker
Claws-mail is, IMHO, the best e-mail client. It has many possible configurations. Someone has written a program to facilitate its handling. This program is clawsker ( https://www.claws-mail.org/clawsker.php ). It is in the salix' repositories, both slapt-get and sbopkg, but don't run. It will ...

Re: Claws-mail
A claws-mails new version has been made public. (https://claws-mail.org/releases.php)
Being myself a fan user of claws-mail, I beg some wizard to make a Salix package.

Re: System hangs
That is nice.
During the last days, I've seen that Salix 15.0, with the default 5.15 kernel, fails to even boot some new hardware. It looks like we need an updated release with a newer kernel.
Yes. The Slackware 15 is more than 3 years old. Anybody knows if Slackware 16 is over the ...

Ten days after the kernel was changed, I can confirm: there are no more hangs.

Re: System hangs
Three days ago I installed the current kernel instead of the default, following the Gapan's recipe.
The operation was well and easy, all was smooth. Surprisingly I didn't need to touch the grub: the boot screen appears now with the new kernel.
From then I've not got any hang up. The 5.15 kernel ...
