Xfce 14.0- can't use wmctrl to control xfwm
I downloaded/compiled/installed wmctrl from sourceforge. It runs without complaint, and I can use 'wmctrl -n 5' to increase the number of workspaces. But it won't list or control or move any windows. I filed bug# 9573 with xfce.org but they say "No reason for this, nothing has changed in xfwm4 ...

Longtime Slack user, dual-booter, currently Debian5 is my primary OS. LILO expert mode apparently refuses to create any lilo.conf. I chainload (see Wikipedia) from Debian's grub, so I specify lilo to use superblock on sda6 (Salix root), not MBR. Workaround: luckily I saved lilo.conf from Slack ...
