Re: To RAM from an ISO on a USB stick

I need to make further tests with this option "memonly"...because it could be that this option has not been severly tested (by us and users) and may still contains some bugs. Well give he a heads up if you make any changes and I'll test them out. If I get time I might look at the initrd s...

Re: To RAM from an ISO on a USB stick

Am wondering if the cheatcodes (where did you find them?) are correct : memonly ==> toram ? synaptics=off ==> nosynaptics ? Will try to follow your example and load the LiveCD in to RAM. The cheatcodes were taken directly from the grub2 config files inside the ISO. Gonna try to boot like that mysel...

Re: MATE Desktop Environment packages

Agreed.

Oh and you were right and I was wrong... the mate-media package needs to be rebuilt and replaced to support pulseaudio and the non-depreciated mixer. Nevermind.

Re: MATE Desktop Environment packages

Well apart from the changes I'd like to see happen to the mate-media package that I've posted on the mailing list I'm pretty happy. I removed all the xfce{,4}*, thunar*, evince and file roller packages from my system, disabled the gnome-keyring start up options and changed some options in my Preferr...

Re: Music Folder Organiser

5. Select renaming of files in that dialog and enter a rule like this: /home/shador/Musik/library/lowq/%a/%y/%b/%n - %a - %t Now you tell me  :D . TBH I should have looked harder. In my opinion though, nothing beats a small shell script. It shouldn't be hard to write one, I don't think it wou...

Re: Music Folder Organiser

Bulk Rename for the mass renaming of the Folders/Files (if desired) and Easytag for the re-tagging of the files. I've used both to reorganize ~10K music files...it wasn't a "one-click" solution, but it works well and fast. Well your method got the job done but I nearly lost my sanity in t...

live installer LVM and encrypted volume support

Could support for detecting LVM and encrypted volumes please be added to the live installer

I don't expect the live installer to support creating such volumes as this can be done prior to launching the installer.

Thanks.

Music Folder Organiser

I've setup Subsonic on my small home server and I'm looking for an application to quickly reorganise the hundreds of music folders I have. I've kept everything organised for a very long time as genre/artist - album/track but now I want to change this to genre/artist/album/track . Does anyone have an...
