I am new to Salix and slackware. (I am a Crunchbang and debian user). And I thought how to download stuff was but whenever i enter that it says "slapt-get: command not found"

Anyone know why? Or am I using the wrong commands?

Thank you for your reponses. That was weird, after leaving the dektop up for a while and clicking through the settings manager, the text slowly got easier and easier to read. I do not know why but I am not complaining. I can see everything on the screen now!

So I just downloaded the 64 bit Salix 14.0.1 XFCE onto my new laptop. The install was fine but the problem is when it loads up the desktop after I log in, the text on every icon and application is all choppy. It is really hard to make out words and even see what is going on. It is especially worse ...
