Re: Tablet PCs
Some sad notes on the hardware support for my particular tablet. MMC/SD card reader is part of the O2 Micro, Inc. OZ711M3/MC3 4-in-1 MemoryCardBus Controller and there is no driver at the moment. There was a non working driver for an old kernel that was floating around the net and it was taken down ...

Re: salix with lvm and luks
99% of the people trying to install salix on their system will have no problem using the 'huge' kernel For the few 1% that actually try installing salix on an older system, the bios can not fit the initrd image within the 15 MB hole between inserting the kernel and some other stuff. At least ...

Re: salix with lvm and luks
Just because not all the information on the subject is in one place, here are some of the things I've discovered by doing this type of setup with salix. Follow the guides on the Slackware CD or repository. README.LVM.TXT README.CRYPT.TXT To implement in salix, pick a keyboard configuration, then ...

Re: Tablet PCs
Wow thanks for that. That one is much nicer than mine. I also have to switch my gconf stuff from the old doinst method to the newer one of going after the compile. I find that the options for input methods may be a bit bloated. I chose Florence because it looks slick. But the repositories already ...

Well... It works.
Well I finally installed SalixOS on my Fujitsu ST5010... after some failings with trying to manually upgrade to a newer mkinitrd and crypt LVM setup, I settled for just regular LVM until I work out the kinks. USB keyboard support on the initrd for one. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be ...

Re: Tablet PCs
I suppose I should just take the plunge already and try it out... I did a second backup of the partition last night.... Assuming ntfsclone did its job properly while streaming through the network.

Re: SalixOS tshirt ?
Well if you look at the base price of the shirt $14.99 Then you take into consideration that SalixOS will see nothing of that $14.99, they then have to mark it up by some tolerable amount to get any kind of contribution from it.... Unless they put it on the cafe press "market place" and tell ...

Re: SalixOS tshirt ?
You could try out cafepress maybe?? Slackware uses them sparingly for the flippy logo. Here is the long story short to getting your information http://www.cafepress.com/cp/info/sell/index.aspx?area=intro_cost&page=intro_cost http://www.cafepress.com/cp/info/help/shop_services.aspx#marketplace ...

Tablet PCs
I haven't tried it out yet, but was interested in running Salix OS on a Tablet PC with a Fujitsu stylistic ST5010 with serial pen. Has anybody run Salix OS or Slackware on a tablet PC yet? I pondered stripping down Slackware my self and installing the needed software for a Tablet but realized this ...
