Re: Salix Ratpoison 13.37beta1

@gapan Don't get me wrong, I do really enjoy SalixOS and this ratpoision edition is just awesome (even in beta1)! I did some checking & to install xfce4-power-manager you don't need to install all XFCE4. IIRC up to SalixOS 13.1/2 there was an XFCE4 meta-package and it was impossible to add only ...

Re: Salix Ratpoison 13.37beta1

I'm using salix-ratpoison on my netbook and it work very well. I don't know who is the target for this salixOS version, but for laptop/netbook users xfce4-power-manager added as default app to an iso file would make life a bit easier. Same is with lm_sensors and fancontrol ;) Is some thing wrong wit...

Re: How about a tiling window manager version ?

I'm a very big fan of tiling window managers. Here's - from Arch Wiki - a comparison of most popular and known -> https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Comparison_of_Tiling_Window_Managers I've found i3 http://i3.zekjur.net/ and stumpwm http://www.nongnu.org/stumpwm/index.html most attractive. Re: How often do you visit the forums?

I have zero problems with Salix on eeepc. Works very VERY well. In fact, the stability of Salix is a killer feature for DragonFlyBSD installation on that little machine. Those are 2 systems that I use (a part form mac os on a macbook & lately android on my phone) I visit forum few times a day, j...

I think that flash support should be disabled for better perfomance.

Re: Salix Fluxbox edition development has begun

Well, I wanted to install xfce4-power-manager for power management - suspend/shutdown with 3% of battery etc.

I think salix-fluxbox hasn't got any power-manager app...

Re: Salix Fluxbox edition development has begun

I know it's late in the day to be making suggestions but clipboard-daemon is much less memory hungry than ParcelLite. After reading the clipboard-daemon homepage my impression is that it does not support a history, which IMHO is really needed. +1 Is this true: Salix-fluxbox + xfce4-power-manager = ...
