Note: When following the howto in the WiKi AND having a UEFI-enabled system one should'nt edit /etc/lilo.conf, but rather /boot/efi/EFI/Salix/elilo.conf

Might be worth an edit in that howto...

Btw- I don't know who's weaving the scepter over the Wiki-howto, but could that one about kernel-compiling be updated to take that blaste UEFI into account?
Drove me nuts when I couldn't find lilo.conf...

So...
I got my new iron: a HP Pavilion 17-f237nd and installed Salix 14.1 on it.
And, as expected, I got no WiFi as the Wireless adapter (a realtek RTL8723BE) is not supprted in the shipped kernel.(Needs at least the 3.15 kernel)
So I compiled the 3.18.5 kernel, using the old config-file.

Still no ...

And yep: found the chromium-package icaroperseo mentioned; Works fine, but... No FLASH and the online game I play requires it....
But then again; I'm kinda fed up with it(that game, I mean) anyway, so I think I can do ...

Trying out this Salix xfce-thingy (64 bit) to see if it's a worthy replacement for Vector.(Where I'm known as SuSE-Refugee and currently: Megamieuwsel)
First impressions are good: 1 app/task is what I tried to get through at VL too, but they never bought it...
A LOT faster than comparative VL ...
