Working fine here using private internet access. Just followed the directions here. I just ignored the parts that are debian specific.

Well, I certainly feel stupid... I guess Salix doesn't have openvpn installed by default... 
EDIT: I'm kind of surprised installing networkmanager-openvpn doesn't pull in the openvpn package as well since it doesn't work properly without it.

New to the forums... Kind of. I briefly used Salix during the 13.37 days (maybe about 5 or 6 months) before jumping head first into straight up Slackware.
