I think Salix needs a better installation manager. If it will be, Salix would be more popular.
Well, SLI is pure awesomeness in it's simplicity ( including tehnical side ).
Not to mention the fact that it does it's job every time, without any fuss ( I atleast never had any issues with it ...

The oldest thing I have is an Athlon XP @2GHz, 768MB RAM & Radeon 9600PRO.
Though it's currently waiting for a new PSU and besides issues with browsers due to lack of SSE2 instruction set, it runs Salix 14.1 like a champ.
It's also perfect for coders. No better way of squeezing every bit of speed ...

While being a bit short on free time lately, I'd certanly like to help.
I'm good with GTK theming, Python ( GTK stuff in particular ), Bash and debugging things in general.

Thanks for the post, filip, as I have been in vain trying to get the current package of FF to work with oxygen-gtk. (Adwaita works, as noted in prior post, but it is not aesthetically pleasant.)
Oxygen-gtk version presently in the 14.0 repo:
# slapt-get --search oxygen-gtk
oxygen-gtk2-1.3.0-x86 ...
