I set it to boot noacpi and launched the setup but it still crapped out on me.

The install of Salix 13.1 quits and shuts down my computer while in the middle of installing packages. It shuts my puter off trying to install Absolute Linux 13.08 as well. Is this a Slackware issue? I can install archbang, Vector or antiX on this ancient Compaq P3 800mhz, 256m ram laptop no problem ...
