Re: Salix in fresh, new look
I agree re: many distros over saturating the user with their logo. The Salix 'leaf' is, as these things go, my favourite as it is so minimal. However I agree that it will negatively impact the art for wallpaper (and certainly should be removed for the grub screen, if nothing else). Really enjoying c...

Re: Only seeing 1 CPU core
Ah so that's what smp means. I can see from my last thread that prior to following the steps at https://docs.salixos.org/wiki/How_to_install_a_different_kernel I had 4.4.19-smp (I've no idea why I ended up with that, can't remember any config during install that meant I selected it). So now I have 4...

Only seeing 1 CPU core
I've had Salix on this slightly old ThinkPad for a while now, and whilst compiling Palemoon in Sourcery I thought I'd monitor htop, and I noticed it's only seeing one of the (2!) CPU cores. Any ideas? I've done all the obvious BIOS checks to make sure nothing is disabled, etc. Output from cat /proc/...

Re: Powertop & TLP
Had a thought, maybe it'd be a good idea to include an item about updating the kernel in the Start-Up Guide?

Re: Powertop & TLP
Update: After RTFM I found that after the first time you run tlp-start, it will autostart on boot. D'oh. Couldn't find an obvious solution to the tp-smapi issue in Sourcery though.

Re: Powertop & TLP
Do you have the kernel source installed? sudo slapt-get -i kernel-source You may want to upgrade your kernel in any case: https://docs.salixos.org/wiki/How_to_install_a_different_kernel Thanks for the reply. I installed the kernel source code, and still get the same error. My current kernel is 4.4....
