I have installed ConsoleKit and now works (info found on lxde forum).

Partitions: /, /home and swap
With new user the same problem. (So I don't erased & recreate the current user).
The existing user belongs to users (main), lp, floppy, audio, video, cdrom, plugdev, power, netdev, scanner.

[SOLVED] shutdown button in Salix 13.1 LXDE
I have an old Compaq Armada laptop.
First instalation of Salix LXDE went fine, but i've break something and reinstall. During reinstall I erased the root partition (but not the home one).
Now the logout option from menu brings up a window with logout and switch user option but not shutdown nor ...
