Thanks all for your kind welcome.

So far I am enjoying Salix, it certainly feels 'rock'. I did miss my autologin, but a quick edit on lightdm.conf solved that.

BTW, I detect a certain theme for avatars. I don't have a dog or cat, so I fear my avatar is still to be decided at the moment ...

Been using Linux for many years,
Getting fed up with Ubuntu (too much bloat)
Wasn't too impressed with Fedora.
Using Arch (Manjaro i3) at the moment - pretty good - loving the tinker factor.

Never tried Slackware so thought I would give it a spin, so installed ...
