Quick installation report:
I've sucessfully installed on a cryptsetup+LVM based layout.
I've sucessfully used spi to install unison from slackbuilds.
More tests are comming...
Also, subversion and cvs have been removed from the iso. They took up

Re: Salix Xfce 14.0.1RC1
Installed from an usb-drive to an encrypted root partition onto an old notebook.
Used only without network. Used only the stuff which I was needed during
the weekend: Libreoffice Calc, vim, and other programs which are not part of the distro.
No problem was discovered.

Re: Salix 14 LVM install generic kernel
Hello,
I have found documentation allowing me to create LVM volumes while installing, including creating the initrd required to use them, but I find no way to install the generic kernel that must be used as well. Only the huge kernel is installed.
What can i do? I don't want any non-LVM ...

Re: Salix MATE 13.37RC1
Just FWIW, I used to get the applets rearranging thing with Gnome 2. That is an old, old bug.
Strange I have not not seen it under debian-squeeze nor under scientific-linux 6.x (a Red Hat 6.x clone) in the last half year.
I don't know what triggers it, but it is more frequent under mate, than ...

ftjam: suggest adding more documentation to the package
Hi,
Since ftjam has no man or info page, I suggest adding the html documentation files to the package
(just append Jam.html, Jambase.html and Jamfile.html to the docs variable).

Re: More xfce4 panel plugins
However, xfce4-xkb-plugin crashes as well in HP-2133.
You have to set the keyboard model first (set one of the Generic types if your keyboard is not listed), after setting the model
you can add more keyboard layouts . If you start with setting layouts it crashes.

Re: Gigolo problem
Add a new configure option:Interesting. I've built version 3.0.3 of libgnome-keyring, but I can't build 3.0.3 of gnome-keyring - it complains about the wrong gtk+ version:
Code: Select all
