Certain packages, including the kernel, are excluded from the standard upgrade process with gslapt-get.

Could this be highlighted in the start-up guide with instructions on how to update these?

How should kernel updates be handled in Salix?

The default install appears to have slapt-get exclude the kernel, along with glibc etc, from updates.

It looks like Wine no longer requires multi-lib installation.
