SOLVED Re: LXC
Thanks for the pointer! OK, well I eventually found the problem. It appears I needed to have perl installed. After running update-ca-certificates --verbose, then c_rehash everything appears to be working. I'm going to confirm this in another container.

SOLVED. LXC
Hi, I'm playing with LXC, and am having a problem with LXC-slackware containers. I have errors related to loading ca-certificates; e.g. if using wget to download via https I have to use the "--no-check-certificate" option. Using Mercurial also gives a certificate-related error. These progr...

Re: Problems with Font, login resolution and OpenDNS
Many times before people let me knew in more or less direct terms that "Time is money, you know..." It makes no sense to me in this case why someone choosing to answer a question would chastise the asker for asking it! If their time is so precious, why are they replying at all? I use Sali...

Re: Problems with Font, login resolution and OpenDNS
silentwind, how do you connect to the internet? I'm guessing you're connecting via ethernet cable to a router/modem of some sort? I'm making an "uneducated" guess here but maybe there is some bug in Slackware's NetworkManager implementation that's causing the openDNS resolvers you specify ...

libxshmfence
Hi, Running 14.1, upgrading to the latest flashplugin using gslapt I get a warning about an unmet dependency "libxshmfence". Ignoring the message and installing anyway doesn't appear to cause any problems loading the browser or viewing flash content, so I'm guessing it snuck into the depen...

Re: Salix 14.2 install fails on SBC
Did you perform any other steps after installing grub with slapt-get --install grub ? I have never had to configure a system with grub2 or used Ubuntu, and I have no idea what Ubuntu's boot repair does. But (and this is just a wild guess from my experience with other bootloaders) I'm guessing you ne...
