Re: Salix Ratpoison 13.37RC1
Any benefit for Beta users to reinstall? In fact there is. Read the first post in this thread, it lists most of the changes. The menu has changed considerably too. If you know your way around, you can install the extra apps of course and you can copy the updated configuration files from skel, so yo...

Re: Salix Ratpoison 13.37beta1
Just a couple of minor things, there was the "ssh -X" problem I mentioned above. That's not a problem. It was a problem for me . :( Another thing I've noticed is that C-t c console does not completely fill the screen, there is a border of about 5 pixels on the right-hand side of the scree...

Re: Salix Ratpoison 13.37beta1
Aha! My first question/bug/issue with Salix Ratpoison Edition! When logged into Xfce, I can "ssh -X" no problem. In a Ratpoison session, I can't start X apps over the SSH connection. On SSH login I see: Warning: untrusted X11 forwarding setup failed: xauth key data not generated Warning: N...

Re: Salix Ratpoison 13.37beta1
I find myself using my Xfce "crutch" less and less as I learn my way around Ratpoison. It is a a bit of a learning curve, but is kind of addictive. :) I installed it in replacement of Ubuntu 11.04; the difference between Unity and Ratpoison is night and day! I'm slowly experimenting with c...

Re: Salix Ratpoison 13.37beta1
I'm giving this a test-drive on my Dell Mini netbook. I have never used Ratpoison before, but it seems like a great fit for a netbook. I must confess I've "cheated" a little by installing Xfce as an alternate environment while I'm learning my way around Ratpoison! Curious if there are any ...
