Sometimes you also have to check in Wicd preferences if the selected wireless interface is correct and jives with the wireless interface found by iwconfig.

As root, issue iwconfig in a terminal and verify that the wireless interface it shows is the one that Wicd uses.

(vérifie le chemin avec ls ou thunar pour voir si les fichiers existent ou pas)

I would go for 2 partitions (or more) on the new hard drive, although you have to decide for the size of each one which will be a subjective choice depending on your use. But those 2 partitions are the two main ones that tend to grow (and also /tmp maybe...) while /var does not need to be as big as ...

Mimosa, tu as très clairement expliqué la logique de Lilo. Une fois qu'on a compris comme tu l'expliques que tout est relatif à la partition dans laquelle on se trouve et que toutes les autres partitions doivent y être montées quelque part, finalement ça devient très simple.

If the pcmcia + sd drive is never removed from the laptop, couldn't you move the /home, and /var partitions (for example) on it and put an entry for them in /etc/fstab ?
