Re: Broadcom B43 issues
Hello, Your first post here started with the words "I just installed salix 14.2 64 bit [...]". Since you have not given any further information whether you have then taken the necessary steps to obtain an up-to-date system, I have the questions: 1. Has the kernel been updated to the curren...

Re: How 2 install a new app and then to make it apackage
Hello,
The current dupeGuru requires Python 3.6, but my probably up-to-date Salix 14.2 installation only has version 3.5.1. If you can install the Python you need, I'm sure one can find a way to make an installation package.
I use FSlint, which is in the repository and is sufficient for me.

Re: Several question about 14.2 x64
LXDE can also use the Xfce power manager, just install it and set it to your desired settings, there is no need for xscreensaver or do as Galmei suggested. The package is called xfce4-power-manager Thanks for bringing back to my mind the Xfce-power-manager. I had to hatmaker the opposite problem. I...

Re: Outdated package versions question
Hi, thanks for the tip. I couldn't get nodejs to install from sourcery the first couple of times, in fact I couldn't even find it in the beginning, but eventually it installed. For what I am trying to do, I had to update python past v3.5.1, so I had to build that from source too. But that went fast...
