Re: Slint64-14.2.1 is released.
Cursor Problem Happy to report that my solution to the cursor problem in my box is holding true through all desktop sessions I have installed. Blackbox, lxde, twm, wmaker, xfce4 and mate. Redglass cursor is even showing on the GDM login window. I have no KDE installed. Atip wrote:Solution: in /usr/s...

Re: Slint64-14.2.1 is released.
Less buggy? Well the cursor is just one issue. There are/were others as I reported, like rc.networkmanager not enabled and that on a brand new install. I went for Slint32 and still love it unfortunally the trend is now for 64bits. So I gave Slint64 a try and stopped it and went instead for Slackel64...

Re: Slint64-14.2.1 is released.
Solved anothet problem. :) I had reported that the cursor set with look and feel would not stay after a reboot/login and look and fell had to be opened again to reset. Solution: in /usr/share/icons make symlinc with name default to the cursor of choice in my case redglass. $ ls -l /usr/share/icons/d...

Re: Firefox-57
Thanks!
What I did, made a back-up as suggested. Then copied the
entire something.default over to the new ~/.mozilla/firefox
and changed profile.ini to the backed-up something.default.
That gave me better results and I am using now Firefox-57.

Re: Slint64-14.2.1 is released.
Networking applet on panel keeps on showing disabled. The box to tick Enable Networking is disabled. I could reproduce that installing wicd to manage the network connections as then the network-manager-applet can't work because the network manager daemon is not running. Is it what you did? If yes, ...

Re: Slint64-14.2.1 is released.
The box is built and practically fully furnished. Installed multilib and now my good old programs are running, like steak, gpasman, saytime. Networking applet on panel keeps on showing disabled. The box to tick Enable Networking is disabled. In fluxbox cursor has to be changed after every login with...

Got smtube from sourcery. skypeforlinux is in a .deb packge therefore could not install. That is for sourcery and slapt-src. sudo slapt-src -i skypeforlinux The following packages wi...

Re: Slint64-14.2.1 is released.
I am not a stranger to mate. In fact have used it for a while. I think there was even a Salix-mate version. Here are some observations: In mate-session: -- Mouse wheel does not scroll to different workspaces. -- In Control Center clicking on LightDM GTK+Greeter settings, System hangs. -- On panel ne...

Re: Slint64-14.2.1 is released.
You ran the scripts in http://slackware.uk/slint/x86_64/slint-14.2.1/, right? Yes. My box was just a mess I think already before. Made a new install from DVD w/o kde. Booted and got to the login window. Entered my name, then it asked for password, however, there was no cursor in the slot and I was ...
