That was easy. Should have known. Was not my day today.

Actually it did not work. Skype being obnoxious on next login
was back and in startup enabled.

The right thing is in skype setting:
skype>Tools>Settings>Automatically start Skype
disable it.

I installed the latest version of skype- 8.11.0.4.

Now after login skype obnoxiously pops-up unwanted and uncalled.

How can I prevent that?

Upgraded to the latest.

Now sudo /usr/sbin/gtkservicesetup opens w/o error.
However, using it from Applications it still crashes after
root password enter. That applies to all application in
Slint Control Center where root PW is required.

If I enter my user PW I get:

Could not run '/usr/sbin/gtkservicesetup'
Invalid username or password

and I can enter a new PW.
Enterring then root PW input window disappears and nothing happens..
