Salix / Slackware noob.

Post by excollier »

Hi, i have been using Debian based stuff since dumping Windows a couple of years ago.
I tend not to "get under the hood" too much, and am currently using SolydK BE and VM Ware Player for Windows 7 & 8 (yes I still have the occasional use for them) I am also running Salix XFCE in there too, impressvely fast and light.
I think I will be a Debian base refugee when the systemd tsunami hits the beach next year, hence the testing of Salix (I am lazy by nature with computers) If I can get the hang of it and also get VMWare working it looks as this will be my new home from next year.
I'll be firing out all sorts of daft questions so, please, be patient.

Welcome!

If and when systemd is adopted by Slackware, so will Salix.

Yeah, of that much I am aware. I just hope Slackware resist it indefinitely.
