Hi, ChuangTzu,

Thanks for the heads-up about this poll; I didn't know about it. I've cast my vote (just once, so I can't be accused of stuffing the ballot box).

I voted for someone who, in certain circumstances, has been referred to by certain other individuals, in certain other distros' communities, as being a BDFL. I can't remember, for the life of me, who that might be ... :?

Why anyone around here here would vote for Mark Shuttleworth is beyond me, but....

Your welcome gaucho!

Current results as of 21Dec. Keep in mind that some people have noticed on LinuxQuestions.org that there was an "adjustment" of the numbers earlier today, with no explanation as to why. Somehow PV had less votes this morning then he did yesterday. https://www.linuxquestions.org/question ... page4.html

Richard Stallman (GNU) (18%, 1,075 Votes)
Lennart Poettering (systemd, Pulse Audio, Avahi) (17%, 1,013 Votes)
Patrick Volkerding (Slackware Founder and Leader) (16%, 941 Votes)

Spread the word and lets have more people vote.

Not sure when they are going to stop the poll but here are the current totals as of 01Jan2016, out of 8,559 votes:

Richard Stallman (GNU) (24%, 2,031 Votes)
Patrick Volkerding (Slackware Founder and Leader) (21%, 1,839 Votes)
Lennart Poettering (systemd, Pulse Audio, Avahi) (21%, 1,785 Votes)
Sarah Sharp (ex Linux kernel: USB3 & xHCI support) (8%, 708 Votes)
Matthew Garrett (programmer, and free software activist) (6%, 510 Votes)

Interesting when compared to 2014 poll, 3,585 votes:

Looks like people are making their feelings/concerns known. Perhaps at first people were excited about systemd (2014), then after letting it run wild on most distros, people are now wanting a return to real FOSS/Unix/Linux? I would say Stallman and PV as 1&2 respectively is some type of a message!
