In whole life of my notebook...

Post by reedych »

Slackware and Salix worked more than halfyear. Really, I reinstalled windows every 3 months because it died; in debian (and forks) brightness didn't work; opensuse is a bit druggy distro, it can die I don't know how. One time he updated to tumbleweed, but I didn't do that; archlinux is not for me because of unstability; I proved Slackware in 26 may 2016 and it was a love from first sight (любовь с первого взгляда in russian). Yes, I had some problems with sound in 14.1, but I updated to current (14.2) and pulseaudio has started to be working. I used Slackware a long time.

In the end of 2016 I started to know about Salix. I installed the repositories and some programs like spkg. Salix is a very good distro, it contains all for the stableliker: good repos, dependency resolution, etc.

Thank you, developers of Salix for this cool distro!
