It took a fair bit of work but I accomplished most of what I wanted to do. This is the login on the laptop I'm setting up for my wife.
It took a lot of trial and error to edit the xml properly. Thankfully, I learned this trick to speed things up;
I used icons I installed for the main environment. But I think I'll switch them for the login. This needs something a bit more playful.
