Dracula Salix 15.0 screenshots (Xfce & IceWM)

Post by missTell »

I just wanted to try the Dracula theme, and ended up by creating a wallpaper and 2 IceWM themes for it too. 😁

Dracula vs DraculaPro

==========================================================================================================================

I made two themes with a slight differences.
Dracula is the more colorfull one of them two, and DraculaPro is made to match the normal Dracula appearance.

Here one can see the small differences between both themes:

If you wish to try it yourself, you can download it as a ready to use VM.

The Dracula Theme seems to be very popular at the moment ...

Nice colors! Dracula is a very good theme for those who like dark environments.

Well done @missTell

Although I do not dislike dark themes, I always prefer an intermediate between light and dark....
Myself always prefer the The Aqua interface in Mac OS X Leopard colors. Everything is flat and dark now.. :?

As of Dracula IceWM, I didn't create the color-scheme; only the theme.

As of the color-scheme itself ... no garlic and no sunlight.

😉

I also prefer something lighter on my PC.

BTW, you probably heard of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza ...

I know that you are more of a 'Elementary' guy -- you would probably also like one of my 'all-time' favorite icon-sets:

Unfortunately, it's kinda broken in 2022, and I'm too lazy to go and rename icon-by-icon, a couple of thousand icons.

And the world, the world is slowly again going from 'all-flat', and moving towards 'gradient'.

One of the reasons why I actually proposed Newaita icon-set.

In a couple of years it could be 'fluid'.

They really take the theme to detail :D

Yes I do, although that's more Spanish! I am Portuguese, so I'm from Portugal https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portugal

I only translate elementary, pantheon desktop, and their website to Portuguese. I like the appearence of the distro and their work. But yes, thats one lovely icon-theme!

Yes, I also have that perception

I also like Newaita-reborn icon-theme

This would probably look nice in a NextStep-like interface...

You'd be surprised to find out that it looked really great even in Gnome3 (RHEL / Springdale 7.x -- 2022)!

The problem was / is that ... gapan.png, Gapan.png, org.gapan.png, org.Gapan.png, org.gapan.gnome.png, org.Gapan.gnome.png, org.gapan.Gnome.png, org.Gapan.Gnome.png, org.gnome.gapan.png, org.gnome.Gapan.png, org.Gnome.gapan.png, org.Gnome.Gapan.png ...

The whole Linux construct is utterly broken in its concept ...

Just take a look at IceWM and Rox ...

1 single icon folder for all is all what one needs, without '1001' naming conventions, but ... dispite, the Earth is still spinning ...

Ne vous inquiétez pas, je me souviens... toujours... habituellement... but nevertheless, it still reminds me of your neighbourhood, sea, sun, fun... and those guys, my friends, travel all the zigzag way from north, over the east and west, and heading south, and once they reach Morrocco, they'll do the turn and continue a round trip... eat some tzatziki with Gapan, and then go home again... It's all about fighting the windmills!

P.S.

Meliae was a PNG icon-set at first, and then one day, the Gnome3 and MeliaeSVG happened ...

I did the update / upgrade and this is what happened:

Image

😄 😁 😆 😅 😂 🤣 🥲

I fixed it somehow, don't remember how anymore though, and it looked normal again ...

But then, the GTK 4.x happened and the gapan.svg become org.gapan ... and nobody who's going to fix the one of the best icon-sets ever made ... ☹️

P.S.
You're kinda looking at the nicer version of Windows Vista and Salix 14.2 (2006) in this post ... 😉
