I freshly installed Salix 14.0 32 bit with Xfce 4.10 and Thunar 1.4.0.
When doing a copy & paste or drag & drop of a file between file systems the "target" windows shows a smaller filesize than the "source" window. Refreshing the "target" window (F5 or Ctrl+R) does not help. In a terminal window I can see the correct filesize. After closing all Thunar windows and opening the "target" window again shows the correct filesize.
However, I have also seen cases where the "target" file was really truncated.
Any comments will be appreciated.

Salix 14.0 - Thunar 1.4.0 - file truncations, no refresh
Re: Salix 14.0 - Thunar 1.4.0 - file truncations, no refresh
Probably a matter of refreshing directory contents?
Try editing /etc/gaminrc and replace all "poll 15" instances with "kernel".

Re: Salix 14.0 - Thunar 1.4.0 - file truncations, no refresh
I amended /etc/gamin/gaminrc as indicated.
The preliminary test results seem to indicate that the problem is resolved.
Kernel polling is possible since linux 2.6.38 and udev 173. Do you have any idea why we still ship gamin with such a ridiculous poll once every 15 seconds policy?
Kind regards, Dick
