When clicking on one of the two Salix Desktop Launchers, a warning dialog of Untrusted link launcher appears.
These two particular launchers should be executable by default.

What browser are you using? I can't check right now, but I don't remember anything like that.

Re: [Xfce] Salix Desktop Launchers are not executable
Make them executable with:laprjns wrote:Fresh install of Salix64 14.1 XFCE on VirtualBox. Confirms both the engrampa setting not being saved (dconf not installed) and the Desktop Untrusted link launcher.
Installing dconf resolves the engrampa problem.
Clinking on "Mark Executable" resolves the Desktop Launcher problem.
Code: Select all
chmod 755 /etc/skel/Desktop/salix*

Re: [Xfce] Salix Desktop Launchers are not executable
OK, they will be executable in 14.2... but I still don't get it. Why did this show up only now?
Re: [Xfce] Salix Desktop Launchers are not executable
How else would you fix the lack of dconf-editor in Salix 14.1, then?gapan wrote:OK, they will be executable in 14.2...
This message is relatively new in recent versions of Thunar and Xfdesktop, and it was not available in versions of Thunar and Xfdesktop in Salix 14.0.gapan wrote:but I still don't get it. Why did this show up only now?

What does dconf have to do with this?zAchAry wrote:How else would you fix the lack of dconf-editor in Salix 14.1, then?
Still, why didn't anybody notice it until now? It's been almost a year...zAchAry wrote:This message is relatively new in recent versions of Thunar and Xfdesktop, and it was not available in versions of Thunar and Xfdesktop in Salix 14.0.
Re: [Xfce] Salix Desktop Launchers are not executable
I meant to releasing a new ISO of Salix Xfce 14.1, that is if you have no intention to release a new ISO. See http://forum.salixos.org/viewtopic.php?p=35246#p35246.gapan wrote:What does dconf have to do with this?zAchAry wrote:How else would you fix the lack of dconf-editor in Salix 14.1, then?
