Salix OS

Hi everyone,

I have just installed the x64 version of Salix 14.2.1. using the live .iso. Everything seems to work just fine (btw. amazingly fast install time IMHO) except for the fact that I cannot connect to repositories to install software or even update package list (neither using slapt-get nor with gslapt) It just says "Failed to download. Couldn't connect to server" (my internet connection works just fine overall). I didn't mess up software sources or anything (kept the 4 default ones (http://salix.hostingxtreme.com/x86_64/*.)).

Tried to look at the forums here, read the FAQs, but no luck so far. I am sure it must be something very simple I am overlooking. Any ideas?

The reposetup command still seemed trying to connect to the old repo so I closed the terminal after a hour or so, but the gui element System -> Repository Mirror did the job just fine. Thanks again and sorry for duplicate question.
