Salix OS

I've just updated our forum software and I want to announce 2 new features:
1. Protection against spammer registrations should be improved by ReCaptcha.
2. The forum now offers an atom feed, so you can watch new announcements.

Problems found so far:
1. Topic notification mails are not sent in english. Seems to be a bug, so let's see if it can be solved the next days. Waiting for more infos in the phpbb forums.

What exactly should it show? Never used it before. I guess most active topics in a certain time period?

I use it all the time. It should show a list of topics that have the most recent posts in the forum. Right now, it does nothing like that.

Fixed. Had to change some forum permissions.

Notification e-mail is in some language i can't understand. Before, the mails were in german just like my language setting in profile.

BTW. Is this greek?

Yes, it's greek and it's a known bug. This probably is a bug with the phpbb templates. It seems phpbb just uses the first used template for all languages instead of an own template for each language.

I think it's related to this problem: http://www.phpbb.com/bugs/phpbb3/54505

For now, a quick fix could be done by thenktor :
- set your preference language to "english",
- clear the template cache,
- ask another guy to answer on a topic you're wathcing,
- reset your preference language to "german"

This way, we'll get notification in english, which I think it's a bit better for most of people than greek
