Re-installed Salix current xscreensaver-5.15 and crash on first try. :-(
I did not have this problem.

In xscreensaver-5.15 I disabled all Visuals with GL setting then run it and
for the first 40 minutes no crash. :-D
I will run it longer tomorrow and report if there will be any crash. I doubt it.

I just see this version of xscreensaver has a date of 28-Sept-2011. May be time
to upgrade.

Re: 319.32-x86 nvidia-driver's

to ikke (see your's PM):
installing 'libvdpau' and 'nvidia-kernel' was no problem.
Any help? Thank you.
I successfully compiling 319.32-x86 nvidia-driver's(nvidia-kernel,nvidia-driver)
with standart's slackbild's from slackbuilds.org) on the fresh installed salixos 14.01-x86-xfce,k3.2.45-smp.

after installing nvidia driver's your must be blacklisted(/etc/modprobe.d/)
nouveau, nvidiafb, vga16fb drivers and add this lines to your's xorg.conf:

Code: Select all

Section "ServerFlags"
    Option "IgnoreABI" "True"
    Option "AIGLX" "off"
EndSection

Section "Extensions"
    Option "Damage" "Disable"
EndSection

Section "DRI"
    Mode 0666
EndSection
