Ok, torrent did not work for me.
But okay, I completed the ISO file via Sourceforge link, using SegmentDownloader.
Nice thing when slow connection is involved. :)

Thanks,
now I'll install .

Torrents are working now. 3 peers were connected, so I could complete ISO that way too, and md5sum is OK.

Thanks to seeders

Installed once again routinely, no issues at all.
I'm glad to see that the LILO is still there for non EFI users.

As to SUDO environment, a new thing, it's easy to use,
but TAB key as way to complete some commands doesn't work this way,
if it would be possible to fix it up somehow.

I glanced briefly at Gslapt, so many packages. Everything works,
my USB modem was immediately recognized.
Nice job. Thank you guys for your work.
If I could I would send some donations, so you could get an EFI HD,if you haven't acquired it.

That's for now, if some issues pops up I'll get back.

Thanks

I have installed KolourPaint using gslapt. The problem is missing dependence. There is no any icons in the toolbox. And it is very difficult to find what package is missing.
Actually prohlem is not in iso but in the dependency support in repository.
But ... :(

Problem confirmed. The oxygen-icons package needs to be added to the dependancy file.

Got both of my printers working by copying /etc/cups from Slackware-14.1 to /etc/.
Tried config-system-printer and found it is easier just to copy over. ;-)

Tried out the 64bit iso as follows:

Burned the iso to a dvd.
Booted my iMac with the option (alt) key held down.
Selected EFI boot from the three choices (Windows, Windows and EFI :-) )
Got the following message:
"Welcome to Grub
Out of Range Pointer 0x8010202020202020
Aborted. Press any key to exit.
"
After a keypress and a short wait, my Slackware system boots normally.

Am I doing something wrong?
Does the slackware installer boot with EFI on your system?
shanek54 wrote:(by the way, the "Windows" option on the DVD boots into the Salix installer OK)
Does thw "Windows" option lead to grub?
My bad - I blew away the EFI partition on that disk when I installed Slackware 14.0

It installs fine on another iMac that does have an EFI partition.

Apologies for the noise.
