No, it was atril that needed a rebuild. I had actually done that locally and thought that I had uploaded the packages since weeks now, but apparently I hadn't. New packages are up now.

Oh, I thought atril was part of mate-utils. My bad.

A live-cd version that allows to use grub will be achieved?

Well, I don't know but to boot the CD itself it doesn't matter much which bootloader will be used, as long as it works.

But maybe you consider installing from a running live CD, and you ask because you currently use grub to boot an already installed OS?

I suggest that you don't worry and quietly wait for the official release of Salix Xfce 14.2 within one month or so.

I am pretty sure that you will be able to add a boot entry for Salix in the Grub menu of your other distribution, probably just editing the file grub.conf.

We will be there to help, also in the Forum Français if you prefer if, as your username seems to indicate, your native language is French (as mine).

Can you try adding the nomodeset option when booting?

Looks like a problem with that laptop. Here's another acer with the same problem: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions ... 719-print/

Legacy mode should work for you. I guess you could try the same thing he did. And here's a package for refind: http://people.salixos.org/laprjns/refind/0.10.2/
