Tested and working. I was well prepared from Slackel Live though.
A pleasant detail in this forum: several people pick a picture of their pet as their avatar. Who am I to do otherwise? ;-)

Hello,

Maybe the absence of this package will be a problem for curl:
c-ares-1.18.1-x86_64-1.txz

Runlevel 0

USB 2.0? USB 3.0 is much faster?
Nowadays still use USB 2.0 flash drives.
Sorry, my English is bad.

USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 is not important. What is important is if the USB is working with linux. I have test usb 3.0, 3.1 and they were slow.
This SANDISK SDCZ71 32 or 64 bit is very good and fast.

There's something wrong.
Write speed on USB 2.0 flash drive is under 8 MB/s
Maybe in the future USB 4.0 or 5.0 will be slower than USB 2.0 on Linux?

On my system (Linux - Windows):
Sandisk 32GB USB 3.0 + port 3.0:
Read 120-130 MB/s
Write 35-40 MB/s

Sandisk 32GB USB 3.0 + port 2.0:
Read 38-40 MB/s
Write 14-20 MB/s

Kingstone 16GB USB 2.0 + port 3.0:
Read 16-18 MB/s
Write 5-6 MB/s

Kingstone 16GB USB 2.0 + port 2.0:
Read 16-18 MB/s
Write 5-6 MB/s

How much time take for salixlive64-15.0 xfce to install (real installation) to usb stick ?
It takes here 20 minutes. If using your sandisk usb 3.0 take less time then it is faster.
What is exactly your usb sandisk 3.0 32 GB type?

Long time ...

Wish to thank all people involved and especially Djemos for providing this nice LiveCD.

Have been downloading and installing (full install) the 32 bit version. My aim was to work with the 64 bit edition. So I have to restart and am downloading now the "salixlive64-xfce-15.0-rc3.iso".

Did a full install of the 32 bit version on an Sandisk usb stick. And yes it took al long time (too long!) to finish. But all went well. So thank you Djemos for providing that inststall script : it does the job!

Will try to install now the 64 bit version and will let you know how long it takes. Am confident I won't run into trouble!!

Once more : sincere thanks to you all of you!
