Midori password manager

Post by gapan »

I personally never use the "remember my passwords" feature in any browser, so the fact that Midori is lacking such a feature didn't affect me at all and in fact I would have never realized that it is indeed lacking such a feature. Nobody else complained about it during testing either. Someone on IRC asked if there is anything that will enable that functionality the other day. I found this, which seems to do the job. There is also an open ticket about this issue in the Midori bug tracker. I'm not sure we should have these packages in the official repo as I have no idea how stable they are or if there are any problems. So, I'm posting them here. But by the limited time that I used it, it does seem to work. You only need to install the package and then from the Midori preferences window just enable the respective plugin. You don't even have to restart Midori.

You can get both 32bit and 64bit packages here:

64bit:

These are for the midori 0.5.8 packages that are about to be updated in the repos, so you can install them as soon as you update midori. Note that I haven't tried these at all.
It works.

Thanks
