Since sdlmame has been merged upstream I thought I'd post my slkbuild for it which I adapted from my .SlackBuild last night.

This script places all binaries under /usr/games (instead of /usr/share... shame on you :) ) which avoids any coalitions with exisiting files e.g. 'split' from coreutils. You'll also find all config files are now in /etc/mame.

sdlmame.sh is nolonger required as /etc/mame/mame.ini is hardcoded into the mame binary as a fallback if ~/mame/mame.ini is not found.

The existing extras.tar.gz has been included.

Try it you might like it ;)

sdlmame has been merged with the parent project? I had no idea. Thanks pwatk. Sdlmame will be replaced in the next salix version then. Oh, you're free to contribute the package when we go "current" again if you like.
