It's also an optional dependency for my dvd::rip package
ogmtools
Re: ogmtools
Nothing against ogm, but if you want to play media files on hardware players mkv is the format of choice But somehow I've thought we already have ogmtools in our repo
Re: ogmtools
+1 for this package. Could be usefull for my old videos ^^
Re: ogmtools
I know how to do it, thank you. I just wanted to say "+1 to this package" not a solution for converting my old videos.
Anyway, it's not a problem for me as I can build it myself.

Best solution IMHO.gapan wrote:Convert your old ogm files to mkv files with mkvtoolnix and be done with them.

Re: ogmtools
But again, dvd::rip depends upon ogmtools for optimal feature-set.thenktor wrote:Best solution IMHO.gapan wrote:Convert your old ogm files to mkv files with mkvtoolnix and be done with them.
And if there was a package in 13.0, why not include it in 13.1?
Re: ogmtools
Doesn't dvd::rip support matroska? There is nothing you can do with ogm files and you can't do with matroska files, quite the opposite. Also, ogm files were a really ugly hack, which is now abandoned of course and you really shouldn't be creating any more of them. If dvd::rip doesn't support matroska, I would consider it dated to say the least.lmello wrote:But again, dvd::rip depends upon ogmtools for optimal feature-set.
Because its packager abandoned the package.lmello wrote:And if there was a package in 13.0, why not include it in 13.1?
